Meet the Team
At Elephant Page Publishing, this semester looks a little different and, in fact, it’s a full-blown plot twist! Our student-led publishing team, spread out across Australia, is working fully online.
From big cities to small regional towns, we are collaborating through different time zones, each while balancing the demands of life as fully online students. Some of us are parents, some are full-time employees, some have been navigating university for years, while others are just beginning their journey.
Although working as a fully online cohort has its challenges, it has pushed us to find new ways of connecting. Whether that’s through weekly video calls, perpetual group chats, or swapping ideas late at night across time zones. It’s not always easy, but it has shown us that publishing can happen anywhere, as long as there’s a creative and passionate team willing to make it work.
Without the ability to share ideas face-to-face, we’ve had to reimagine what teamwork looks like. We’ve learned that distance doesn’t have to mean disconnection. We are a community that thrives on collaboration, creativity, and a shared passion for bringing stories to life.
This semester, we’re delighted to introduce you to some of the dedicated people behind Elephant Page Publishing. Our Deputy Publisher, Sarah, is always ready to lend a hand, offering encouragement and positivity that keeps the whole team motivated as deadlines approach.
Our Editorial Director, Lauren, is embracing the challenge of learning the ins and outs of her department, eager to bring a fresh perspective and a willingness to try new approaches to the editorial process.
Angela, our Design and Production Associate – and a thrill-seeker at heart – brings an adventurous spirit to everything she does. Whether she’s leaping from planes or diving headfirst into a new creative project, she channels that same fearless energy into designs that are vibrant, dynamic, and full of life.
We have many others also working across departments to bring our collective vision to life. Although our team is small and scattered across the country, our shared enthusiasm and commitment provide a strong foundation for everything we hope to achieve this semester. Looking ahead, we’re especially excited about the books we’ve been developing behind the scenes.
While we can’t give too much away just yet, we promise there is plenty to look forward to. Thanks for getting to know us, and stay tuned – the stories we are so eager to share are worth the wait!
